boston cream pie
so it's not the most aesthetic of the cakes i've made...it's actually supposed to be a trifle and the layers put into a bowl, but i didn't have a glass bowl, and thought i could make it work in a cake form. i hope it's not too much of a disaster cutting it!

AHHHH this is probably the best cake I've ever had in my LIFE!! So smooth, and the custard was lighter than I expected to be. 7 stars out of 5!!

Mmmmm. Custard so good! The chocolate striped into the custard while cutting...which made me think: how much more fun would it be with those super-tiny chocolate chips in the custard, or even better, chocolate nibs.
